I have replaced my refractor focuser with a JMI EV focuser, with motor drive, and it is a very nice unit indeed. My 8" SCT also has a JMI NGF focuser attached to the rear cell and it is smooth as.
Although I like the Feather Touch the JMI is certainly much cheaper and has a more compact motor drive system.
