I also have a 400D. Would you care to give us some clues as to what lens and settings might be best for capturing this. My results have been a bit average (read: hopeless) so far, and I'd really like to get something worthwhile from this.
I only have three lenses other than a macro;
stock 18-55
stock 70-300
EF 70-200 f/4L IS
I have a tripod on which I could point one of these afocally through my 12" dob.
Thoughts welcomed
