Warren Sayer
This is a really difficult post to write.
I know there are many here who have known Warren over the years and tonight he has asked me to pass on his goodbyes to friends and those who know him.
Warren is gravely ill in the palliative care of his wife Jeanette in northern NSW. Warren has been ill for some time and things have taken a turn for the worse. His memory is fading and while he still is able he wanted to say his thanks and goodbyes to all those who he had met and known through astronomy.
Although not a member of IIS, I think purely because of his uncertainty with PCs, Warren has been deeply involved in Amateur astronomy in Qld for many, many years, something he is missing terribly. He knew the sky like very few and was enthusiastic about sharing that knowledge through his memberships with AAQ, SAS and BAS. Warren has a passion for visual supernova searching which rubbed off on me and for which I am deeply grateful for.
So on behalf of my friend Warren and at his request, Warren says goodbye.
I will leave it there for now and will keep you informed as events progress.
