Over the last 4 years I have really been immersed in my planetary imaging but I still try and organize a few observing nights through the year. It really depends on the level of interest at the time. Our hospital is a training hospital with medical students coming out here from various Universities on rotation and as a body they have shown much interest in astronomy as one of the things they can do while out here at Broken Hill. Last Friday night about 30 of them came out to observe and I have had considerable positive feedback from them. I think it is very important to try and raise the profile of astronomy at the community level and I really enjoy introducing people to astronomy.
