not sure what you want here, but if I guess correctly you want to connect the 5D to the ED, correct?
If so you will need a T ring, this attaches the camera with the built in bayonet mount, to the telescope. A T ring has a thread on the telescope side, about 42mm with a fine pitch.
If I am correct the fitting you pictured will have that 42mm fine pitched thread as the thread at the most rear. Try it (or measure it). If so, the T ring will screw straight on. This gets you connected, but with a 1.25" opening it may impinge on the image a little, giving vignetting.
