I imagine it's the insurance company that will foot the bill - so no tears there.

One thing you can say about the owners is that just because you own a super car it doesn't mean you can drive. The accident started when someone hit a median strip (= bad driving) and then escalated when the others couldn't stop or take evasive action because they were too close (= more bad driving). I'm not suggesting that sports car owners are worse than average - in fact in many cases their interest in cars may mean they are good drivers - but skill doesn't flow into a driver from their car, nor improved reflexes, even if it does have a prancing pony on the steering wheel, and the laws of physics can't be altered no matter how many $$ you spend. I'm reminded in this regard of the owner of a new BMW X5 4WD who lost it in a flooded river after driving past the 'road closed' sign because the salesman said it could go anywhere!
