On the last night of the 2010 Queensland Astrofest we saw an American Spy Satellite and it's rocket do exactly the same thing.
We could see the vehicles seperating throug our telescopes
Kevin Dixon spotted it first and it was observed in scopes from Peter Robbin's 30" down to mine and Kevins 16"s
Terry Cuttle published some images on iceinspace.
