"Plan 9 From Outer Space" is generally rated as the worst movie of all time, it's so bad it's very entertaining.
For my money, "Mission to Mars" starring Tim Robbins and Gary Sinise, was a steaming curl. It's riddled with all sorts of scientific howlers from astronauts adrift in space who suddenly come to a halt to allow a crappily-plotted rescue attempt to be written into the script; a marooned astronaut living in a unit on Mars with tomato plants and a door that can apparently be left open without any loss of pressure in his dwelling; and aliens who have built a den in the "Face of Mars" landscape feature. Considering the cast, and the director Brian de Palma, you'd have thought they'd at least try and get a few things realistic. Obviously they considered the average filmgoer wouldn't be bothered by a few little discrepancies.
