Thanks Chris.

I saw one those little Skywatchers in an Australian Geographic shop a while back, they really look a good little setup, not for me though as I'd have to use it on a table or attach to a tripod. I plan on sticking with the GT mount, that alone has totally been worth the expenditure, the setup is surprisingly stable for how little it weighs (though I operate from a chair without the tripod legs extended). I haven't really bothered getting it to find me things other than just seeing if it worked, but love being able to scan around via motorised drives. It looks like it'd be easy enough to mod the mount to take a diff OTA and a short newt will suit me nicely but would prefer a solid tube. For now I'm going to make do with what I have, unless something comes up cheap lol. I'm never afraid of a little DIY and I've read a bit about flexing the mirrors on these setups. It looks like it'll be worth a go as the spherical primary makes obtaining focus really tight and quite uneven across the EP.
