Poita, thanks mate, remission club is good, I've done enough chemo to sink a ship and was getting well and truly due for a break. Now I have all the immune suppressants and gvhd issues to deal with which is a bit tedious in itself, but it's nice to have a head that's insulated via hair and not have it constantly in a bucket. Amazing how many people have done the "marrow-go-round" (new term for me), seem to bump into them everywhere, I was half expecting someone would pipe up on this thread and say a "me too", we need a secret handshake or something.

I'm having fun with the scope and am quite pleased with the setup, it's light enough for me to manage and pretty stable, I can park next to it in a chair and scan the sky happily. The spherical mirror in this short newt makes it optically a little weird though. I'm thinking of popping the barlow/corrector lens out and trying to flex the mirror at some stage.
.
I'll keep those EP's in mind but I'm patient and don't need instant gratification, so I'm ploughing through reviews and will have the chance to check out some stuff first hand in a week or so. I generally prefer to save and get something I'll be content with for a long time rather than buy something that'll do as a stop-gap measure. That being said I'm not the type to go for super high end stuff and tend to look for where the value for money hits a sweet spot.
