Well done Ron on sticking with us!
I grew up in the Latrobe Valley which was full of ten pound poms back in the 60s and 70s. You could tell the poms because when they first met each other they would ask "which ship did you come out on?"' while the Aussies always asked " which footy team do you barrack for?"
My mum was a ten pounder, when we went back to the UK in the early 70s for a couple of years, she always said that England was a nice place to visit but wouldn't, like to live there.
