Well some opticians say that a well formed mirror can be as good as a good quality refractor of 1" less aperture.. I'm tending to believe this when I compare images done with say Dietmars 9" TMB and similar images with a top quality custom 10" made mirrors... of course there will be some that will disagree... but the proofs in the images! Of course, and that was what I was saying when I commented that my F4 newt need some 'fussing', collimation needs to be spot on and the hardware has to be where it should be (no she'll be right)... I'm always fiddling (cause I made it) to get the utmost out of it photographically.

Cheers Ross for the comments... I'm still gob smacked at the many little clusters and the density of the star field... not that it is in the actual arc of the milky way but must be along an arm??
