I love it!
I did hear of someone who was suckered into the Microsoft Help Desk scam because the scammers phoned just as she was having trouble with her PC - she thought they were her angels and gladly coughed up $200. Eventually the penny dropped and she rang Microsoft who told her to unplug the computer ASAP. Her bank was also able to cancel the credit card transaction as it was still in a "clearance stage".
