That remindes me of a public night a few years ago in NZ when a young man was directed to me by other members as he could not get the scope to focus , I had a look and ...Well? the instructions did not state that the clear plastic cap had to be removed first !
The look of joy on his face when he saw the moon first time was priceless..
It turned out to be a good scope , an eq2 moiunted Celestron 70mm refractor.
I liked District 9 as well .
