When I get these phone calls (with the 1-2 second connection relay/delay), I hnad the phone to my 3 year old, who just loves to chat. Funnily enough, the caller doesn't seem to be as keen
The other "urban myth" I heard is to press the # key twice during the 1-2 second delay and that scrambles your number so they can't call you anymore. Tired it a few times, but can't really tell you if it works as I am not home much during the day.
