Thank you very much for the link Simon. I was so stoked to watch it after nearly 30 years, I neglected to respond.
I remember it a little differently, more like this one.

I used to say to my Dad that the bit between 0:29 and 0:33 was the Liberator from Blakes 7 checking our space probes were OK.
But at the same time I have memories of bits in Simons link that are not in the above version.
