Hi Matt,
Bottom line is that I want a Williams Optics crayford focuser for my SCT to get rid of image shift, and that is the best way I can finance the purchase!
The 13 Nagler is a wonderful EP. There are lots of air currents around Point Clare where I live, which pushes the 195x mag in my scope from the Nag just beyond the point of clear focus on a lot of nights. When seeing is good at home, or where I go out to darker skies with steadier conditions, it is simply awesome. Just a matter of priorities.
I assume the focal length of your OTA is shorter than mine, and that magnification would be a little lower in your scope (about 180x). That being the case, it would probably be perfect for your scope.
Ausastronomer (John Bambury) is pretty cluey on these issues - you have probably seen many of his posts about Eps. You may wish to PM him to get his thoughts as well. I'm sure he'll recommend the EP to you.
