From Peter's decription   I would not be sure it was the boat movement that was at fault  . I did many "cruises" with the "Grey funnel line". Had no trouble with binos.

no drink for me barry not a sipp...but did struggle with the bino's 9x63 jupiter was all over the place and the ship is that bright of a night,they didn't even have an astronomy night
