Thanks for that Peter, I appreciate your reply and it did look promising when I read about it in the Mac literature.
However, when I ran the application, after getting through the first few screens it just seemed to remain in an “active” but “wait state” and nothing happened for some 15 mins, even thought I could navigate to the Windows PC from the Mac and the Mac could “see” the various Folders on that Windows PC, so I just stopped the Migration Assistant application.
I may give it another try, just in case….this is our 1st Mac and I may still be Mac illiterate!
