Happy New Year 2006

I decided to go into the city for new years eve to see the fireworks with the missus.
I had a few spots in mind that i thought would provide a good view of the show, but wasn't able to get to the location of choice.
I found another spot that was even better than i had expected, and ended up being 100 or so meters from one of the fireworks barges
What can i say, the show from such close range was awsome, i had bits of debris flying all over the place around me, dropping from above, at times it got a little scary with all the thumping explosions and the paper shrapnel flying around.
I managed to get a few nice shots with the canon, and missed a few as well trying to cover it from any of the still smouldering fireworks falling to the ground, luckily, all missed the camera and i am happy with the results.
