Orion OAG and focal reducer

Trying to start learning how to autoguide, so I bought the Orion deluxe OAG, to use with my LX90 8", Meade DSI II as the guider and my Canon 550D as the imaging camera. I like to take mostly DSO so would like to use a focal reducer as well.

Problem is currently I have mostly 1.25" focal reducer, filters and eyepieces, which can not connect to the Orion OAG, I will need a 2"-1.25" adapter, my questions are:

1. Do I have to always put the focal reducer at the output of the scope? In this case I guess I will need to get a 2" focal reducer is that correct? the imaging train will be as below:

LX90 -> 2" FC -> OAG -> Canon

2. Or can I get a 2"-1.25" adapter and do as follow:

LX90 -> OAG -> 2"-1.25" adapter -> 1.25" FC/filters -> Canon

3. What does it mean by "requires a minimum of 59mm inward focus travel"? In the future I plan to get a mono CCD + filter wheel etc.. will this affect my ability to focus?

LX90 -> FC -> OAG -> Filter wheel -> CCD

Thanks in advance,
Victor.
