I've only read Red Mars so far and I loved it.

I'm a serious Heinlein fan. I read his entire body of work every year. His juveniles are great fun "Have Spacesuit...Will Travel" being my favourite.
"Stranger in a Strange Land" "Starship Troopers" "Door Into Summer" "Time Enough For Love" " The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" etc etc
All easy to read and quite thought provoking too.
He was the Dean of Science Fiction during the Golden Age. Up there with Asimov and Clarke. He transitioned well into the Space Era. Sure his science is dated, but for a jolly Space Opera, you can't go past him.
