Like telescopes, there's nothing worse than buying something basic, outgrowing it too fast then having to buy another one.
(My first telescope was a $1000 Meade Saturn 4inch Newtonian....a few months later I spent $10,000 on a Celestron Nexstar 11 GPS.)
If it's too advanced, in my book that's good, because you can grow into it. Of course, I'm selling it so I am biased.....
