Yep, some came via assisted passages, other came unassisted. A couple were convicts prior to coming out and were transported. But that was only two people (a literal couple, actually
). The earliest I have of family in Oz is 1818....a Michael Edwards, born in Sydney. Can't find his parents, so far. But, most of the family arrived between 1830 and 1885.
