Netwolf, you never know with the ATMers. They might just buy one to save time etc... Be great if the total system was avail from the one place, but usually with this type of 'add on' gear, = electronics from here & mechanics from there.. Hard to say really. It's a very specialised hobby we're in, ain't it?
PTN. In '99, I suggested a circuit for a car 'LED readout' for an ammeter, to monitor the charge/discharge rates using their, (Silicon Chip), LM3914 dot/bar LED driver voltmeter circuit. I don't know how many kits were produced or sold, but they were hard to find just 12 mths or so after release. No market for 'em apparently. Mine works fine.
Now, if Mick & Co. get things up & running, we might just end up with a few more local products.
