Do you want to create Astro Videos, or just use the Avi's for stacking to create a single image?
If you want to know anything about Video Astronomy, the easiest way is to go into the Cloudy Nights Forum section called ' Video and Electronically Assisted Astronomy'
All of us in there are Video Astronomers and there are tips, tutorials, and all sorts of video discussions and help.
AstroVideo isn't a big thing here in Oz yet, but it's huge in your own homeland.

But if you are wanting to use the Avi's for stacking into a single image, then I'm sure some of the Planetary Imagers will come along and help you with advice on that area of Astrophotography
