Torrens Title.
Torrens adopted a similar system as used for the registration of ships for land title registration. Prior to this title was derived from piles of documents relating to the land back to the year dot effectively.
I am not sure where /if adopted elswhere but put it this way dont buy any where in the world that uses something different
