I've got a movie of Jupiter
Hello:
I guess people who know about the Canon T2i know that it can take movies as well.
And just recently I tried my hand at a movie of Jupiter. It was with Meade LX200GPS 10" F10 with a 2" right angle and then converted to 1.25" and a 1.25" 2x Meade triplet barlow then to my camera.
I've got an AVI format picture that's about 2 megabytes (is that long enough?). For those wanting to follow me I'm on Twitter and Flickr as David Williams from Michigan and my pictures and video are there too.
You can see the bands sort of. But it goes between a bit blurry to into better view. And I'm guessing that this is mainly due to atmospheric things like heat and waves. And this was taken mostly at my meridian though. I'm just also wondering if I've got those conditions, what could make it (the video/picture) better?
So I hear that Jupiter is near opposition. And as for us (north) we are getting colder weather. So this would make for slightly better viewing, I'm guessing as Jupiter reaches the sweet spot.
Does someone have tips on this?
David
