Thanks Paul, looking at our relative latitudes with Clayton Bay at -35 degrees 7 min's, Murrumbateman at -34 degrees 58 min's & Broken Hill at -31 degrees 58 min's, I think with a bit of good seeing the higher alt of Jupiter up here will make a difference if we get some luck in October. For this particular session the highest alt for Jup was 44 degrees 33 min's 34 sec's. For Oct 28th Jups highest alt will be 46 degrees 6 min's 19 sec's just before midnight.

Thanks very much Lester, yep, as the air becomes more stable the excitement levels in the old observatory certainly rise.

Thanks very much Ray, reckon I have been spoilt over the last few years with good seeing being the norm up here. Now with this new scope I just cant wait to capture some photons through stable air.
