If it's anything like the EQ3 Synscan hand controller I believe there is an option in the Utility menu to do a full factory reset. This should be what your looking for.
I had a similar issue with my hand controller (not quite pointing at the ground but well off target
) and for the life of me could not work out the issue so did the reset and all came back normal again.
I think it may be the PAE settings getting a bit stuffed up but I am not sure. As soon as I can power it up I will find the exact menu location for you.
