Under Australian law, if a person suffers a deterioration or loss of sexual enjoyment on account of an injury caused due to another's negligence, this can give rise to a claim for compensation. The head of damage is called, "loss of consortium". In my former ambulance chasing days I recall successfully suing for loss of consortium on several occasions. Most clients do not want to bring the claim because of the evidence which must be given to support such a claim; it can be a trifle embarrassing.
