Ken - you are right. I thought I was going to have to accumulate hours of exposure with the 3nm OIII filter, but it just booms in. Believe it or not, I have not used curves on this image at all.
I think I did cut short on the Ha though, hence the background noise (Greg) - so I will go and get some more I think before I finalize this image.
Clive - I think what you are referring to is the red/blue 'fringe' at the top centre of the image? Well, that was clearly there in differing strengths in the OIII/Ha data, but I had to tease it out.
