Hubby was fortunate enough to visit the LHC just a month ago. Although no one is allowed underground where it all happens, they conduct tours through the facility. He even got me a souvenir- a bag holder (a little round disc with a hook that you put on the table and hang your hand bag off) with the equation for string theory on it.
I feel rather intelligent when I hang my hand bag now.
