Saturn storm & Jupiter August 23rd 2011

Hi All,

Imaged Saturn last night very early on in reasonable seeing for the low alt. Have 3 RGB & 3 807nm IR data sets. Have posted 1 RGB & IR data set, note that particularly in the RGB there is structure within the storm band (ie; definite distinct white spots).

Have also attached animations of both these data sets, both of them reveal the spots that I have referred to although they are much more apparent in the RGB.

Imaged Jupiter this morning from 2 am local onward. Have 4 RGB & 807nm IR data sets. Have attached 1 of each as well as links to animations of both data sets. Io & its shadow were in transit. Oval BA is prominent as are some barges in the NEB. The seeing was pretty consistent and while not rising to more than just adequate it was a change to be able to see some detail rather than just blurred bands.

Thanks for looking.
