Dual Speed Microfocus upgrade for Sky Watcher

A few weeks ago I saw this mentioned in "Sky at Night" in their new gear section. I thought I'd check it out.

A couple of emails a wave of the Visa and it arrived yesterday...PIC 1.
It was quite easy to fit and fitted well.
I just had to swap over the black spacer that sits between the centre of the shaft and the large allen screw.
I guess you'd call it a friction adjusting block.
To remove the Microfocus part from the mount you just loosen the allen screw shown in the 2nd pic with the red arrow.
PIC 3 shows it fitted with one of the original knobs attached to the other side.
First impressions are that it feels firm but smooth and seems to behave just like the single speed original.
I do like the microfocus function and can't wait to try it with my DSLR.
Hopefully I'll be able to test it properly over the weekend.
I'm at work so can't remember the exact price including postage but I can look that up in the morning if anyone's interested.
According to the blurb it should work with the single speed unit on the Newtonians and Dobsonians too.
I have a SW BD 8" so I'll have a good look at that and a 10" Dob my mate and I share and report back.
It's always fun spending money.

Cheers,
Ken.
Almost forgot..I am not affiliated with 365astronomy or Lacerta in any way.
