Hi Gem,

I wouldn't necessarily rely on manufacture claims, I'd try and find some independent tests if you can.

There are also other factors you should consider, not just read noise, such as:

1. Quantum Efficiency.
2. Dark current/thermal noise.
3. Size of the sensor.

These come at a premium, particularly point 3.
