Peter, I have investigated this a little but am reliably told for prominences I unscrew the front etalon and use the internal etalon to record the prominences. As I understand this, I should get nice and bright prominences which I can mask into my images. Are you doing the same? I have not been doing this, just using the data that I get and enhancing which means I miss out on a lot of detail. My scope was factory fitted as double stacked, so hence I have not tried this before as I don't want to kill my eyes or my camera.
