That looks terrific. I made something similar a number of years ago but out of aluminium (bicycle wheels, box tubing, etc) using the same type of chair. Anyway, just a suggestion from that experience - you might want to add a bracket, or make a strap to hold the chair in place on the base. It's surprising how easily it can tilt or slip off.
Enjoy - you will have a very relaxed time with the binos - just watch that you don't fall asleep!
