Hah, back in 1997, my first Qld Astrofest, there was only one PC on the paddock belonging to Michael Horn….how times are a changing!
The visual observers used to wear red tinted goggles when they came into the kitchen/dining room area for their late night brews – in those days they were real astronomers; real men, uncompromising eyeballers that didn’t need poncy woncy cameras! LOL!
