NGC 3132, the Eight-burst nebula is a great PN too, though havent seen for ages.
One book I have says its the
Southern Hemispheres answer to the Ring Nebula..
Both about the same size, though you can see 3132 s central star, as its a bit closer at 3000 LY.
Hmmm . might try for that again tonight too.
