Memory is a very strange thing indeed. It seems to be very distributed - there is no one part of the brain that is solely responsible. You can have major disturbances to the physical structure of the brain, and still retain most if not all of your memory, but on the other hand, seemingly small problems can have huge effects on memory . I would love to know just how many memories we could cram in there - what is your brains capacity??
