Hi Guys, Short report on the W.A.A.C. ers viewing night last night.
Started off O.K., perusing a few of my favourites (Eta, M42,Omega Cent. etc etc). Just a normal night until the alpha-Centaurids started coming thru.
Between the 11 members present, we tallied up more than 20 meteors in 7 hours. One, really bright BLUE one(mag. -10), left a vapour trail for approx. 3 1/2 minutes,(no breeze). It showed up how much the seeing had dropped off, with all the moisture in the upper atmosphere, and on the t'scopes.
All in all, a pretty good night.
