Hi Hitch hiker, Yes I have been subtracting darks. These red dots are all in focus and definately look like stars, not noise. The noise is usually all speckeld. Don't know if it is temperature as up here in Brissie it's about 25 - 30 deg C lately and I dont know what that does to the poor camera. I will try and post a picture in the next couple of days.
