It may cost more but it is not for the same thing as you are paying to maintain the planet for the next generation and I believe we have contributed to the current state of the environment.
Making sure the future generations can have the same environmental living conditions we take for granted is our responsibility we are the custodians of this world not the owners we are the current caretakers and should act accordingly
seems simple to me.
