Not sure if I understand your logic in blending in data from a shorter focal length. Normally one would do the opposite. Perhaps the reason for the lack of detail.
Hi Jase! Where have you been? Those two nebulae are very red. For some reason my red channel is very bad with this lens and using an OSC there's not much I can do about it. So I blended the sharper Ha into it. Although it helped a bit it's still not up to it. The image scale is about 8 arc sec per pixel and the field is 6.7 x 4.5 degrees.
