Thanks for your Help Guys

I have had a look at both suggestions given and it seems that the stuff I have is pretty much the same. Is not effected by water, very thick and sticks well in temps up to 650 Deg F. My main concern was that some products can effect plastics and metals over a long period. Your help has been great as I have been able to see that some of the products are branded as a special item when in fact some are very much the same. PTEF seems to be a reg name for polytetraflouroethylene. It is much the same as the non slip coating on frypans but in a diff medium and clear in colour. It seems to be sold under many different forms mixtures and names. I now feel confident that the stuff I have will do the Job..

cheers
Mardy
