i have the same problem with my 8x50 finder on my SCT. it is too narrow a field. so off to bintel and came home with a telrad. the second best thing i purchased. the first best thing is a dew shield for the telrad. i found that piece of glass dew's up well before anything else. mine is now heated but even dewy it was better than the finderscope
