The seeing here in Newie is crap and the sky glow herendous - end of story. Doing Narrowband work with a mono chip is the only way to cut through and produce a decent image in my opinion - time the Doghouse gets an FLI

Re the neighbours, I think you have no choice but to ask them what the chances are...? It's always a little nerve racking approaching neighbours over this issue but you have nothing to lose and everyting to gain, not like you have to explain much they can see a wopping great observatory in your backyard...it's pretty obvious, just ask Tania
