Looking at Als Astroclock clock this morning shows that today the Solar Noon will be about 45 seconds before local noon here.
I intend to try and use the string and plumbob method of marking a North/South line on my water tank where the new pier is going.
It will be interesting to see how different that turns out compared to the magnetic compass method I have been using to position the tripod.
I also figured that as the Solar and Local noons were so close together today it must have some significance.
Looked up Winter Solstice and Hey
it turns out to be around 20th of June.
