Like many of us across Australia, I was up in the freezing cold (9 dg - this is the tropics though) and down to a beautiful possy by a mangrove creek.
A stunning eclipse, with the phase from partial to totality going so quickly. I had set up a couple of cameras, but ended up just using the Canon.
Loved the way the Milky Way popped out with dark lanes surrounded the eclipsed Moon. Didnt spot/look for M31 like jjj and friends.

Only company I had was a lonesome dingo, which I kept looking around for ... woman mauled by dingo ... yikes.
Got home, then the local North Qld radio station rang for a chat. I had the tranny going down at my spot, and Michael (DJ) was playimng all Moon songs.

A wonderful morning, wich there were more of them!!!
All pics widefield, not clever enough for close ups.
Totality images were ISO 1600, f 3.5.15mm mainly, and pushed the time to as long as I could, up to 40 sec. Also ... 1 Venus pic thrown in for good measure.
